Kids

People are really interesting creatures. Nobody is the same and that's so fascinating. Even those who have been raised in the same home with the same values and so on, are so unique.
Kids are very interesting too. I don't put kids in the same category as people because I believe if they're still asking, "Are we almost there yet? " when you're taking a cross country family trip and you've only driven 2 miles, then they haven't become people yet. Same goes for "Didn't I tell you not to do that?" "Yes." "Then, why did you do it?" "I forgot." Their brains, although scientists don't mention this, haven't been fully formed until they understand they have to take a bath everyday and yes, you did brush your teeth yesterday but you've got to do it again today.
Another sign that they're turning into people is when besides taking a shower, they also change their underwear. That's a big sign. Then, at around this point, they start feeling embarrassed if you're around when their friends are around.
"Mom."
"Huh?"
"Will you go inside?"
"Why? I'm watering the plants."
"But Ralf is coming by and your hair looks funny. Don't put that hat on, it only makes things worse."
"Makes what worse?!"
"You. I mean your hair. I mean, please go inside."
"I will NOT go inside!"
"Then, I'm going to wait on the corner."
"Where are you going?"
"To the corner."
"I mean with Ralf."
"To JP's house to play a game."
"What kind of game?"
"A zombie killing one."
"You know they're already dead?"
"Mo-om...There's Ralf! Don't shout bye to us, please?"
"What time are you coming home?"
"After all the zombies are dead."
"The zombies are already..."
"I know mom!!"
You see, now he's becoming a man.

Yes, Elide, and the next step is moving to their own flats or getting married...And we really miss the times when the corner was the farthest they would go.We do love them, don´t we?

Yes, we do. My oldest son is probably staying here with my parents when I move and I'm going to miss him a lot.
